Brooks & Company Dance is proud to present Into the Dark Wood January 5-7, 2012. Thanks to the gracious support of our backers, we have met our basic fundraising goal for this show through a Kickstarter campaign. Additional donations are always welcome and go to paying dancers and technical staff as well as providing costumes and set design for the show.

Some of the greatest scary stories ever told are those that were originally intended for children. Into the Dark Wood, a darker and more mature experience, is a dance-theater collaboration exploring three of these deliciously dark fairy tales, produced and performed by Brooks & Company Dance with choreography by Kristyn McGeehan. Into the Dark Wood will introduce the audience to the cold perfection of The Ice Queen (Hans Christian Andersen), the creepy power of Baba Yaga (traditional Russian fairy tale), and the seductive menace of Mr. Fox (the Brothers Grimm).
